Barbara White’s sequel to A Tale of Two Yachts completes the account of her, and her husband Rob’s, 2015 – 2021 circumnavigation in their Oyster 406 yacht Zoonie. They travel from Whangerie, New Zealand, to Falmouth with some explorations of South Pacific islands, the Australian east coast and Tasmania before crossing the Great Australian Bight to find themselves locked down in Perth in the spring of 2020. Barbara includes their various overland expeditions as an integral part of the total experience, explaning that they are both in the ‘evening’ of their lives. They won’t be back again. They cross the Indian Ocean, pausing at Reunion, then the pace of narrative quickens once they leave Cape Town for the Azores and home.
