In this month's blog for the Author's Electric collective, Julia responds to media reporting of former broadcaster Jon Snow's Alzheimer's diagnosis. She reflects on the way people with such a diagnosis can been 'written off' by others and criticises academic research which wastes time and money re-stating the obvious.
